Food poisoning has resulted in about 0.4 million deaths and 1/10 of people fell sick after eating contaminated food. We need to stop this and this why SOVEF is being developed. SOVEF is a social platform for healthy living designed to improve living standard of farmers and reduce food poisoning due to pesticide-contaminated fruits and vegetables. SOVEF could improve the lives of 800 million rural poor whose daily subsistence relies on farming and healthy forest ecosystems. Our long-term vision is the Green Earth with well-functioning ecosystems to support sustainable development and low-carbon society.
SOVEF could also be used as tool to achieve most of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and government's Intended Nationally Determined Contribution commitment to the Paris Agreement of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Change. SOVEF could further contribute to the implementation of the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
